#New walking dead game ps3 series#
The game sucks but for the fans of the tv series it isn't that bad to deserve a 3.Successfully complete one of the following tasks to get a trophy:Ī New Frontier (Platinum): Completed The Walking Dead: A New Frontier. The story is boring, they could've done a lot more with Daryl and Merle but tried to play it safe so they didn't impact their archs in the tv series. The graphics are decent, nice colours but bad textures, something more similar to 2009 than 2013 but not an issue. It had a good element of survival where the walkers attacked you in large groups and you could only headshot to kill them but until the endgame you didn't have ammunition to waste, but this feature too was badly implemented because of the horrible grab mechanic the walkers had. The game is a mess, yes, but it had a lot of potential, the stops it forced you take when travelling with the car were a great idea but unfortunately turned out bad because you always stopped in the same 3/4 locations. Over all i would give it an 8 but this is from a huge walking dead fan, so if i step back and act like its just another game that might drop to a 7 … Expand Voice acting is nice also, but the NPC fall a little flat when compared to the voice of Daryle and his brother. I would put the melee a cut about games like skyrim and fallout because of the grapple and quick kills. Different weapons will swing faster/slower but also push zombies back different distances. Now the melee is not half bad you have a quick kill from behind a grapple if you get grabbed and a light/heavy attack. Gun play is tight, and movement is on par with any other FPS with a little peeking around walls to make the sneaking a little better. All the cries about the game play however are wrong, I find it very good. All the cries about the graphics are not wrong, but maybe thats why they knocked 10buck off its price. To to a tv tie in it was much better then i thought. I will say that i was a little surprised. So that means i have spent about 2.5 hours with it. I will say that i was I picked this game up this morning as soon as game stop was open. I picked this game up this morning as soon as game stop was open. No place is truly safe for Daryl as he makes his way through the Georgia countryside in this new, post-apocalyptic world. Players will have to choose between whether to stay and fight while risking a gruesome death or using stealth to avoid the undead. Once discovered, it doesn’t take much to attract an unstoppable horde of undead walkers, so every threat needs to be assessed, and every situation analyzed. As Daryl, players will need to tread carefully throughout each new area they explore. The iconic walkers will relentlessly hunt down players like their television counterparts, using a combination of sight, sound and smell.
